Introduction

History

Astrology has a long and diverse history that crosses many nations and civilizations. Astrology was influenced by and connected to religious and mythological ideas regarding fate and the afterlife in ancient Egypt. Eastern astrology

Western astrology

Western astrology originated with Ptolemy's Tetravivlos. The most widely used approach in the West splits the celestial sphere into twelve zodiacal signs, each of which contributes significantly to the planetary effects with its own unique coloring or personality qualities.Ares, Taurus, copyright, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are the twelve signs that form the ecliptic. These twelve aligned with the constellations that had those names two thousand years ago. The two systems (the signs' and constellations') have separated by 27 degrees as of right now. 

Tropical astrology, which is connected to the turns (trope in Greek) of our planet's seasons, was established by Ptolemy. According to this astrology, the sun's position on the vernal equinox is connected to the zodiac by its 0-degree Aries. Although that was true during Ptolemy's day, the constellations of today have shifted 27 degrees from the Sun's position on the Spring Equinox because of the phenomenon of precession. Given that we are currently three degrees from the beginning of the Aquarius era, thirty such degrees would be the span of the Pisces age.
